feeding my tooth coral

I got a tooth coral a couple of weeks ago and the 2nd day I had it I got it to eat several pieces of shrimp, but ever since then it doesn't seem to be interested in eating. I've tried to give it shrimp twice now and its tentacles come out like its interested in eating it but the next morning it looks like it spit the shrimp out. Is it possible that its just not hungry yet? I fed it last Saturday, the following Tuesday and yesterday. Everyday but Saturday it spit out the shrimp.
Any advice?

I'd feed it every 2 weeks or so if at all.

where are you getting the shrimp. Elegance Coral (the user) has had problems with toothed corals eating shrimp that have a fair amount of phosphates in them. if the shrimp is packaged it may have phosphates added for a preservative. you might want to look into feeding frozen krill from San Francisco Bay. they add nothing to their foods. i really like reading their ingredients.
