Feather Duster - Two in One

I think I might have two feather dusters in one tube.
I went on vacation and when I got back, there was a black spot on the sand by a feather duster and the tube was empty so I figured it had died. Now a couple of weeks later, there appears to be two sets of feathers coming out of one tube.
Could one worm grow two sets of feathers? Or could two worms live in one tube? Will this cause any problems?

Are you sure its two separate sets of radioles? Before my feather duster threw its crown it looked like one continuous ring. As it started to regrow it looked more like two, and now that it it fully regrown, it looks like one again.

they tend to sometimes fold them in in the middle, thus giving the appearance of two seperate worms. So prob not.

But if they're coming out of two different holes in teh same tube, that's possible. Had that happen to me. Each came out opposite ends. Thought I got a deal, then I learned that that's how they sometimes multiple...they segment the last segement of their body into a new worm.

Agreed with skeety, most likely the crown is folded; mine looked like that for a while 'til it blew it's top.

I didn't think that. "Both" feathers are coming out of the same opening so you're probably right. I'll keep my eye on it and see if things change.

I've only had the feather duster a few months and it just seemed weird that this happened right after the other one died.

Thanks
