Fan worm (Feather Dusters) breading?

I have 1 large red feather duster and 2 white ones. While inspecting my tank today both of the white feather dusters have what appears to be a jelly mass under where they fan out. This mass has little specks in it. I was wondering if that was the way that they spawn? Thanks for any comments. (no pictures... kids hid the camera and now.... lost...but if found will include a picture)

I was under the impression the fans usually reproduce by fission (1 indifidual splitting in two)....
