Euro-reef Skimmer

I have a 140gal reef ready oceanic(4'x2'x29")with two corner over flows each with 2 1" drains and 1 3/4". I have a 40gal oceanic sump I am in the market for a protein skimmer. I know that I want to go with Euro-reef, I heard their quality was top notch. Or any other brands you feel that are better or the same. I only have 29' of clearance in my stand. The model I am looking are the CS-2 and CS-2-RC. They are both 24" tall. the next step up are 30" wont fit I would like to keep everything inclosed in my stand. So any advice would be great I hope to only sped that 400-700$ one time. Also I have ? About calcium reactors so please any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated

I would look at the MRC skimmers here, for just over $400 you can get the MR2 that will be more than good enough for your tank as a package with the pump. If you need something with low clearance it can be ordered with the quick release connector on it for $40 extra and it allows zero clearance removal.

Euro reef makes a great skimmer, I have one and Love it. I also bought the MR-2 for my 150. The advantage of the MRC units is that you can add a second injector wich increases the capabilities of the skimmer and if you set up changes and you have more room down the line you can also add an extension tube wich will also increase the power of the skimmer.

MR-2 from Andy and the quick release are the trick, especially in tight quarters. I use the MR series of skimmers and have no problems with these skimmers, with the advantage of being totally adjustable for skimmate as oposed to the euro reef skimmers (I understand that they have either modified their design or are in the process of changing the design to allow the adjustability of the euroreef skimmer, so watch for this if you decide to buy the Euro skimmer. For the money, the MRC is a much better buy)

You can look into the Euro-reef knock offs ASM, cheap and real close to Euro-reef stats.

Another thing about MRC is Andy and his customer service, cant be beat! Ive e-mailed himseveral times and he has ALWAYS responded in the same day and he has a reputation for his service. Plus hell work with you if you need a mod or two to the unit you want to buy. Pretty hard to beat what hes got going on!

skimmers

So this mrc skimmers is a company skimmer or a diy that some is making. Also I did'nt know of any other euro-reef models other than the CS ES RS. I have never heard of a MR-2. Or is that by another company. I really think I'm going to go with EURO CS-2-RC. With that in mine do ypu think that would be enough skimming fo0r my setup

Thanks gozyk

Apparently I forgot to mention the company's full name. The company's full name is My Reef Creations, you can find it here. Sorry about that.
