emperor angel

How big do they get? If I was to buy a juvenile how long would it take to get to big for a 120gal? And would it get along with tangs?

it would take a couple of years before it would get to big for a 120g tank. it should get along with tangs, to be sure i would add the angel first.

when young they can be difficult to feed. they are also not reef safe. they tend to nip corals. they like to eat sponges also.

I used to have a blue faced angel, grew to about 11 inches long - beautiful fish, prone to parasites and bacterial infections though. I don't know how long it would take to grow a juvenile, depends on a lot of factors - how much you feed, health of the fish, etc. Usually most of my angels have gotten along with tangs, but it would be a good idea to introduce your tangs AFTER you have the angel in the tank.

Hope this helps
