you can try and feed it some kind of plankton 1-2 times a week.... but more than likely it will be dead by Sept/Oct.
it will hide where you cant find it and starve itself to death...sorry
READ THIS http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issu...002/toonen.htm
i bought two on two different occassions....and the longest one lasted was about 3 months.... sorry just my experience.
they seem like a LFS novelty to me that doesnt last long
i hope you do better than me.

I just picked one up cheap as well. It was just so cool and I've read they don't last long, so I figured better in my tank than the LFS.
Anyways, mine doesn't hide at all, he has been sitting right up front. I got him 1 week ago and he hasn't moved.
I spot feed him DTs every couple days or so.

Not trying to start a debate or get personal, and I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but this logic is flawed. If you buy an animal, you encourage the store to keep buying the animal - in economic terms you create demand. And where there is demand there is supply. This encourages the continued removal of animals that dont survive to pad the pocket of those who care less about the animals than us. Again, I'm sure there was no maliscious intent, but just pointing it out, so next time...

Ya, same experience with the 2 I had. Looked cool, but not long lasting. I posted the loss because I did not know why they passed. Wish I would've known. They are cool, though.
