Eheim 1262 help

I am redoing my sump and using this pump for the first time. I had some leaks at the thread, I am redoing now. The Eheim also seemed to be leaking right where it going into the tubing at the top, although it could have been water running down from one of the threads. In any case does this look right?

Screw the gray retainer all the way down to the bottom, put the hose down as far as it will go and then put the hose clamp on lower. I have found that the plastic retainers are a pain without the metric tubing.

Hops right, the clamp has to be on as low as you can get it, right against the gray retainer.

I must have used a different size hose, because mine was very tough to put on, it was too small for the pump. (I have the 1260)

Yes, the hose should fit snuggly onto the outlet. Soak the hose in some near boiling water for a minute or two and then slip it over the nozzle. Then, thread the gray nut over the hose to cinch it down.
