EGGCRATE for mounting frag plugs - where do you find them

1) where do you find the eggcrates that hold your standard frag plug?

2) anyone have specific instructions on constructing a small eggcrate (the size of a small shelf like 3" by 6") to suction-cup to the glass wall? ...meaning how do you mount suction-cups to the eggcrate?

...heres the deal, i have 4 frag plugs that have beautiful eagle-eye zoas on them. but each frag plug only has 3 or 4 heads...so they seem way too immature and delicate to mount to a rock. i need to get them on an eggcrate suspended halfway down my aquarium wall PDQ so i can "baby" them until they are mature enough (with like 20+ heads on the frag plug) before mounting on a rock.

they sell the eggcrate at any home improvement store like lowes. If you got a suction cup with a bulb on it you could probably drill a small hole in it. I see most folks use PVC pipes as pillars for frag racks. I would trust a couple magnets over a suction cup.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

does having small delicate zoa frags on an eggcrate shelf a GOOD choice...to allow them to mature to multiple 20+ heads?

....or just mounting them on a LR the way to go?

If you want them in your tank on a particular rock I might just glue em there. If you plan on trading/selling any I would probably mount them on plugs

Eagle Eyes are usually fairly fast growers in the right conditions. I would figure out what rock(s) you want them to encrust and glue the frag plug(s) to the rock(s). Once they have spread from the plug to the rock surface and have a good start, you can use a razor and cut around the plug and pry it back of the rock if you want to sell or trade with someone.

You can build nearly anything with lighting diffuser (eggcrate) panels, zip ties, and some super glue.
