i feel like that is what mine looks like in the 55..... fuzzyish looks a bit like cyno but doesn't peel off like cyno....

can cyano be furry? it's unlike the cyano I have in the 5.5.

It doesn't come off in slimy sheets. It comes off more like diatoms and the big furry clumps

I'm going to say no since cyno is actually a bacteria and would have no similarities found with other macros. I'm guessing that it is another form of macro, but I hate trying to id some things such as this with a limited photo-data base. I would think normal measures for algae should nip the problem in the bud...

You say it blows off easy, that leads me to think Cyano,.. most normal algaes root really good to rock and don't come off very easily.

But I'm really not any good at this game.
