Dwarf Lion Fish
Do you think a Dwarf Lion fish will eat a Tomato Clown that is about 2 inches and quite fast and can be mean, and a damsel that is 2.5 to 3 inches.

I've had 2 before, 1 for over 5 yrs., and I never actually had them try to eat other fish in the tank. To be safe you should assume that it will eat anything that it can fit in its' mouth, (and the mouth is bigger around than the fishs' body), but if you keep it fed it might not be an issue. The aggressiveness of the other fish doesn't matter, they strike very quickly and they are very subtle, so whatever they are trying to eat usually doesn't stand a chance. I would think they could eat the damsel, not sure on the clown.

Tim, How big is the dwarf lion? The ones I had were only in the 2 - 3" range.

i have a fuzzy dwarf with 2 1-2in green spot puffers and a dalmation molly and NO issues....been together for a long time.....
but they can eat anything that will fit into their mouth.....so its a 50/50 chance on that.....
just keep him fed well and you might be ok.....mine gets 3 rosie minnows twice a day and he seems happy with that...

lol, i guess anything is possible right? never say never. Umm I don't know how big the lion is, I havn't ordered it yet. I get it from work, we get a list of marine fish every week, we don't keep marine fish where i work though so I just have to order it and take what comes in. The description is Dwarf Lion Fish $18.00

It's got to be possible, because I've kept a full sized volitan lionfish with damsels for half a year. He finally decided to munch on them though, lol. Finally!! Been waiting to get rid of those buggers
