as long as it is the Dwarf angel you should not have too much problem, but you wil have to research each one carefully, some will nip at corals and clams.

Ive had all three flame flash back and coral beauty. The flash back was DEF not reef safe picked at all my corals all day long. The flame only picked at my yellow polyps. Ive had 2 coral beauties and neither one of them has ever picked at anything in my tank.

I've tried my hand at a few dwarf angels, and there are 2 risks with them. First, some are tricky to get eating. I've lost a lemon peel and potter's angel from my ignorance (didnt know what to do to get them to eat), when likely some garlic soaked food would have done the trick (I know better now). Second, obviously, is they can pick on corals. The worst at picking, from the reports I've read and experience I've had, are the half-black/eibli angel and the lemon peel. I had a half-black, and while it's a beautiful fish, it nipped at everything in the tank. Zoanthids, softies, LPS, clams; it didnt care. I put a corcea clam in the tank and within minutes of opening, the angel was all over it. I've since gotten rid of the dwarf angels in my tank, as I don't like the risks.
A lot of people have good success with the flame or potter's angels, but don't be surprised if they pick at one or two specific corals. The best bet, if you really like those fish, is to just remove whatever coral it has a taste for, and to feed 2 or 3 times a day if possible.
Good luck with your choice!!

I had a Pygmy Angel and he made my open brain miserable. That must have tasted like pizza. He a piece every other day. I think they should be housed in a long tank too. They like to swim.

I had to catch and return two different angels after putting them in my tank. First was a coral beauty, after returning it I convinced myself it was just a rare occurence. Well I replaced it with a beautiful flame and within 10 days had to catch and return it as well. As much as I would love an angel I have learned my lesson. Good luck, hopefully you will have success with yours.

I've had a cherub pygmy angel in my nano-reef a couple of months. He is very active, constantly swimming, and doesn't bother my corals at all. He likes to peck at the live rock, and algae at the back of the tank. Definitely a cute little fish. He eats phytofeast, and also soft spirulina balls.

My Eibli is a coral munching machine. It really does vary from fish to fish.

Simple equation from my reef experiences:
Angels + reef tank = bad news

I had a Lemon Peel that decimated my zoos, a Flame that ate my yellow polyps and star polyps and later ate sps polyps when no others were left.

I second the Lamarck Angel!
Here's mine:
He hasn't been in the tank long, but I have been told by numerous sources they are safe and so far so good. He nips at the rocks for algae all day. Never nips at the polyps.
