dumb question

I just got a tube worm about 2 weeks ago. This is the first one Ive attempted to keep. Its not normal for this guy to wonder a 1/2 inch or so out of his tube is it?. Is he not getting enough to eat, is he in search of food?

More than likley it is just adjusting to its new local, or it may be working on adding too its parchment.

normal behavior, they will adjust to the tank conditions, the only time they don't unfurl 8is when there re predatory fishes that pick, or the water is really bad, or that the current is too strong.
