dry coral aquarium ornament

I have several boxes of very large ornamental coral that I would like to mix in with my live rock. The question is , is the a way of removing copper out of them? some of them where in a fish only tank that was treated with copper. I plan to submerge each coral in 5 gallon buckets to determine which piece was exposed to copper. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Those decorations can NEVER be used in a reef tank, and if the tank ever had copper in it then it can never be used for a reef tank either.

Ditto
Only use the ones that have never been exposed to coper
Nothing that has ever toched copper can go in a reef tank

It will kill snails, shrimp, and corals

So if the corals show no traces of coper then it's OK?. I have a glass tank.I don't think I had copper in this one. I will fill it up and test it first.

I would think as long as a copper test comes back negative you would be ok

We've talked about this before. Unless the silicone seams are badly discolored, the talk will be fine.
