Don't try this at home

I was enjoying a nice quiet evening with the family when the phone rang. With the phone in one hand a very fine glass of merlot in the other, I noticed 2 of my larger snails being where they shouldnt be. So I placed my 6-7ozs of wine on top of my light fixture (1st mistake)....I guess that would have been my 2nd mistake answering the phone was the 1st....anyway reached for the snails, turned to say something to the wife and ooops the wine glass and all wine dropped in the tank. I noticed in about 5 minutes each of my softs reacted differently....some swelled some drooped some closed up completely.. Needless to say I was freaking out just a bit. I walked away for about 10 minutes to bang my head against the wall. Upon my return, plan in hand, I just started doing massive water changes........this morning everyone looked much better....I was wondering if I should have just dropped in a couple of asprin instead of water changes I know I needed some after this

Much better that you did the water change and saved the aspirin for yourself...

Glad things worked out.

Your tank is fermenting!

I hope it all turns out well.

If it was French wine you did the right thing. But drains are a bit better to dispose of unsupportive wine.

Hm... I find that my fish prefer a somewhat dryer Cabernet Sauvignon. It complements Mysis nicely, I hear.

I'm glad everything is ok - although it's a pretty good story in hindsight.
