Domino Damselfish your verdict?

Hi guys ive seen alot of fish shops here in Australia stocking the domino damsels for pretty low prices.

I was wondering what info you guys could provide on them and recommend them as a good reef tank fish or not.

I know the family is agressive just not sure on this species.

Ya I wouldn't get one, most around here will say the same, there is a good chance that if you do get some, and then end up getting some nice expensive fish in the future that ****sel will torture it to death!

So basically they all exhibit the same aggresive behaviour?

No exceptions?

yes they are related....
and yes the hawain 3 spot or domino damsel is the spawn of satan. i started off with 3 ( i know don't say it) when i started the tank. after slowly adding others including a a foxface and a bat. they teamed up on everyone. torn up my bat ( which was what 10 times the size of them) i could not wait to get the the heck out of there.

i understand that they make really good anenome food!

they will fight with each other if they have noone else to fight with. they belive that .."it's mine all mine"

i have a green chromis write them off also. He picks on all the fish in the tank smaller then him and some of them bigger. He has not killed anyone yet but give him time his true nature will come out. Just paint the stripes on him now when he does kill someone off to the fish prision for him. I might teach him a lesson and put him in with trigger, my niger trigger fish.

Don't fall for those cute pajamas clowns wear, they can be mean, snobby, intolerable and insufferable as well as wimps for hardyness compared to damsels

Doug1 I am sorry but I have two clarkii clownfish that are the toughest darn fish that I have ever seen, they have been through absolute hell and they are thriving. They are also very pleasant. Tougher than freshwater guppies.

Tangcrazy do you have just him or does he have companions? I have heard that the only way to keep chromis is if you have a trio or more.
