Does It Get Easier!!!++
is it me or is it all confusing to a beginner? All i want is some nice fish and a tank they can live in happily. Ive kept tropical for over 2 yrs without any stress and was told that Marine are just as easy, until now.......

It's not you! Keeping marine fish, inverts, and corals is very challenging.
If it was easy, everyone would be doing it!

You will get to a certian point where it gets easer and you have a feel for the tank and what needs to be done,.. but it is a sharp learning curve.

it gets easier when you get into a routine
my tank is pretty self sustaining to me,
but it can be very confusing to a beginner

definately take things slow during cycling and during this time read up on and ask as many questions as u can, so that by the time u do add anything u know a little bit of what youre doing, and how to keep the new inhabitants. theres alot to know before u can even say u know the basics. took me about 6 months before i was comfortable running my tank, but im still learning and re-learning things all the time. if the addiction gets ahold of u though, it will seem like no time, and youll just want to know more and more.

it IS very confusing as a newbie, and i agree with everything that eveyone here has said. i would also recommend a couple of books to help you along ... "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" by Robert Fenner and "Natural Reef Aquariums" by John Tolluck. both helped me out a lot in the first 6 months to year. HTH

LOL I agree.
I think as it gets easier, we choose to make it more complicated and expect more out of it.........I surely dont spend any less time nowadays, the difference is that I spend less time in vain chasing things that arent beneficial, and the time I do spend is much more rewarding.

It's a bit overwhelming at first but it is totally worth it once you get through all of the cycling and actually start seeing some critters living comfortably in the environment that you created.

It might not be easy, but at least it’s not an expensive hobby.

give this a reading. it will help you along the way and so will we.
once you start to understandthe various parts of the system you will find it a bit easier, ( no to say it is easy, just easier)
