Does anybody have a Rose bubble anenome?
Well I know these are hard to find and all, but ive been looking off and on for six months now with no luck. Well I take that back, I have found a few, but was quoted a price just today of 400 bucks! Now come on, give me a break.
So I would love to hear any successful searches for these elusive guys and the price tag. Ive of course been trolling the websites and asking lfs owners but again with very little luck. My search has spurred the interest of a coworker, and of course now we are both trying to find one.
What gives with the difficulty of finding this anenome?

Dustin, here you go! Cquarium seems to get these in every once and awhile. The price tag is high because they are pretty rare...

I am a proud owner of one. Here in Cali they are pretty common. The price range goes from $175-$300 depending on size. I have had mine for 9 months now and it has divided twice. They are the best anemone IMO....My true percs love it...

Thanks for the link karsco. I visit this site often though, and the 200 tag on the site they have listed is, to quote them, way outdated. This is the call for my $400 one I spoke of. I talked to them just yesterday and they had 2 for $300 each, then they called me today and said they had only one for $400??
Well I will continue my search, and hope that maybe I can hook up a reefer that had one split. For that price Id rather pay an individual than a store if you know what I mean. That way I can pay for the one they bought and hope mine splits so I can sell it and keep the circle going. Im on a few lists, so maybe I'll have some luck...

Ouch.!!!! I have had mine for over a year now. I got him when he was about 5". Now he's over 12" and still growing. Can't get it to divide.
Can they do that??? Raise the price by the second. Next he'll have it up on E-Bay.
I know FFExpress has one in stock for $279.
There's a local shop here, not sure if he has anymore left, but he was selling it for $150. His website is ecorals.tv

WHAT!
Don't pay more than $150. I've seen them for as low as $110 and prices are going down as they become more common. Be patient and it will pay off.

Piero,
Your ReefLabs site rocks. As a computer(web) programmer, I love to see well coded sites, and reeflabs fits the bill. Is this your store?
Thanks for the input so far. This has been helpful, and the ecorals site looks hopeful and I have contacted them.
My quest continues...

Wow!!!! Came home today and notice my Rose wasn't looking the same as usual. Then I notice that it was in the process of splitting... yahooo, now I have 2.
Crap, the Clarkii is guarding.... can't get near the second one.

Not just yet. I heard that once they start dividing, they may continue to divide. The 2 are still a good size. When they are shrinked up, they look about 6" in diameter, so I'm going to guess they will get to around 12" when fully expanded. If they do continue to split, I'll let you know. I also had to wait a while to get my anemone.
When ecorals.tv first had it 2.5 years ago, he was only selling them for $45. Go figure. It's time for the hobbyist to drive the price of the overly price specimen down.

Gateway Tropicals sells Rose anenome's for $80. Bob gets em in every now and then, and the last time I was there he had one. He also gets red/blue carpets.

Thanks Dustin!
That's always nice to hear! Actually don't be fooled by my site design. I'm running the whole operation out of my home.

Prices in the market.
We all know It's important to do your research and be patient with prices in this hobby.
I dumped alot of unecessary cash into overpriced specimens before I started wising up. Just shop around...you'd be surprised at how significantly prices vary from location to location. Especially with the introduction of private and home-based aquaculture.
