Do my GSP have a chance?

I bought yet another "Oh Great how can I leave here without taking it home and giving it at least a chance, because I know it doesn't have one here" It is a rock covered with what used to be GSP, but only now it is the purple crusting layer. I saw it when the LFS got it in a few months ago, but I went in there and it looked like crap no polyps just purple bumps. Does anyone think they have a chance at coming back?

Well who knows! In your tank under the right conditions and water current they could make a full recovery!

I'd give them a pretty good chance. GSP are pretty hardy - and just a little purple base can keep the colony alive for a long time.

If the base still has the purple color and is firm, I'd give them a fair chance. Mine can be temperamental when I move them around but they always bounce back.

Good luck
