do I need bigger heaters?

i have my tank on a seasonal temp controller. it ranges from a low of 74 in the winter to a high of 81 in the summer. it helps keep my electricity bill down. the heater/chiller are not fighting the house/lighting as much.

the higher the temp the higher the metabolism of the critters i the tank. not a problem till there is a problem. the higher the temp the faster things can go down hill, especially if the power were to go out.

I am going to slowly lower it to around 78...well, maybe I should wait until I get the light fixture on and see how the temp. reacts with it on and THEN slowly lower it.

a ha...I really want to get one of these controllers... whether it be the AC II or Ac Jr...Reefkeeper... or whatever... better start saving...
