Do I Have A Mantis Shrimp??????
2 DAYS AGO I BOUGHT 3 PEPPERMINT SHRIMP AND 1 CORAL BANDED SHRIMP AFTER 1 NIGHT I SEE THE SHELL OF ONE OF THE PEPPERMINT SHRIMP AND CAN ONLY FIND 2 OF THEM. WHEN I TURNED ON THE ACTINIC LIGHTS THIS MOURNING I HEARD A SOUND SNAPPING/CRACKING COMMING FROM THE TANK. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HEARD THIS FROM THE TANK SINCE ITS BEEN SET UP 7 (WEEKS). I HAVE A EMERALD CRAP THATS BEEN IN THE TANK FOR AROUND 3 WEEKS AND NOTHING HAS KILLED HIM. I HAVE LOST SOME TURBO SNAILS ALSO.
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED
THANKS EVERYONE

Turn off the Caps Lock. It's considered shouting in cyber etiquette
Peppermints are notorious for going into hiding when you first put them in. You might have seen a moult , what about the coral shrimp, any sign of it. He would be my first suspect, tho the Emerald isn't above suspicion.
The snails you lost, were they killed by something or just fail to thrive?

and snails are easy to kill by mistake if you don't spend hours acclimating them... the first bunch of snails i bought didn't last long, i was told to just dump them in and they'd be fine, well they all died.... i acclimate any snalis very slowly now...like 4 hours.... boring but worth it...dead snails foul up water really fast and they smell nasty when you take them out.
your snails may be dying of shock and then scavengers may be cleaning out the shells...
...but then, you did mention a snapping sound.....

HAve you made any progress identifying the snapping sound? You need to get a flashlight with a red lense and sit up a night or two watching the tank under red light, you will be surprised what you see.

The reason the one did molt is that sometimes entering a new system can be such a shock to those shrimp that they molt. Just in case you were curious.

Moulting is also the time when they are able to be fertilized by other shrimp, if I recall shrimp love 101
