Do Flame Angels eat...

Does anyone know if Flame Angels will eat yellow polyps? All mine have disappeared.

Yes, Yad,

Centropyge loriculus includes coral polyps, tunicates and benthic macroalgae in its diet.

So... it's possible it ate your yellows.
If you can get it weaned onto more standard prepared foods, it will lessen the urge to go after any other yellows.

You never know, sometimes enough tissue is left over from predation to allow the yellows to regenerate.

It's the luck of the draw, I've seen them in tanks where they touch nothing that did not come from the freezer or the can. Then in others, they'll eat until there is not a polyp left in the house. I thought about buying one until I was at a local shop where I watched the Flame in their tank eating polyps from a toadstool, their answer was "if you have enough soft corals, it will never get them all before they regrow". I'd steer clear !

Yes it would be the Flame
some do and some dont like Pirate said
I know a few people who have kept them in there reef tank for years and not bother anything, I also know some people who had all of there corals dissapeared because the put in a Flame or other pygmy angel and they developed a taste for corals.
