True! And yep, corals can and do Poop, expecially if you feed them.

yup, they do. I've not seen as much in SPS compared to LPS or softies, but I'm not too surprised.

It could be poop, but it could also be a sign that the coral is expelling zooxanthellae - a sign of too much light or stress.

Good point...In an LPS coral it's pretty obvious when they "poop" and I wouldn't worry much...In something like Pectinia I would be a little more concerned.

could the stress be caused by the dozens of flat worms on him? i just dipped him and put him back in the tank, in a few minutes i'm going to treat the whole tank.

Possible...are you using Exit??? Have you used it before??? Be very careful and make sure you know what your doing if not, and be ready for water changes...I've seen lots of people kill nice specimens using that stuff!

yes i've read up on it, i did not see any other worms in the tank besides like 10 or so on the pectinia, . i siphoned out some tank water into a bucket, and moved the pectinia into it, treated the bucket and waved as many of the worms off as i could. i put the pectinia back in the tank after i removed as much of the flats as i could. topped back off the water in the tank, let it circulate about 30 minutes, then dosed the tank, i saw one worm in the tank on the glass and he freaked out and started moving around a lot, i scanned the rocks and never saw any other worms squirimg, about 2 or 2 minutes later all my shrooms closed up.
i let it sit for a bit until the one panicking worm detached and floated away,

i put in about 1lb of carbon in the filter chamber

i vac'd out the worm and proceded to do a 25% change. i went over the rocks and substrate for any more worms,, found none.

the shrooms seem to be feeling better, and the fish all seem fine,, in about an hour or 2 i will do another 25% change
