Do Bulb Anemones Shed Bulbs?

My anemones tentacles have been falling off. They were about 4-6 in. and fell off with about a 1/2 in. stub left behind. The stubs are turning into nice looking bulbs so I'm not sure if it is dying or growing?

The few times I have seen this it was due to damage that the tenticle sustained. Is it in a high flow area that may be causing tentacles to rub against a sharp rock? Ever see any crabs or anything picking at it?

Is that peppermint shrimp leaving it alone?

They don't drop tentacle; something must be picking at it.

Shrimp and Crabs

Most of the tank inhabitants leave the anemones alone with the exception of my three clown fish which appear to be quite brutal with the anemones. Is there such thing as anemone abuse by clowns?

The new picture looks much more disturbing than the last picture, I think my anemone is toast.
