the Mag 7 should slow down to around 5oo with the head and elbows but the valves are a good idea Dont forget to drill acouple small holes just below the water line if it extends into the tank any distance, You'll want to break siphon on the return line so as to minimize sump filling on power out mode

Nice!!!!!! A couple pointers, in case you hadnt factored it in.
With the number of bends used it will restrict flow quite a bit, as opposed to pumping water straight up and over.
What pump are you using as a return pump?
If you aren't connecting your return manifold by a union connection,, you can add an slip x thread bushing at the bottom and screw in a barb fitting that matches the output on the pump. For instance my Sen has a 3/4 barb fitting for hose on the output, HTH

I'm going to use a Mag 700gph. I want to tone it down to about 500gph, that's where the ball valves come into play. The Mag 700 can take a max of 14feet of head, so I figured that throttling down the pump wouldn't damage it in the long run. I'm going to use some extra Eheim tubing to connect the pump to the bottom of the return.
