divider material question?

i have set up a 29g tank for a brood of baby bangaiis that i have and was wondering what to use as a divider. i want to keep them in half of the tank so they dont get sucked down the overflow.

i have a roll of window screening labeled as "charcoal fiberglass window sceening". this is perfect as far as the size of the holes go and very easy to work with. my question is, can i use this? there is nothing on the label that shows any other materials listed.

does anyone know of any reason not to use this material? is anyone here more familiar with what material im talking about?

thanks af. i dont believe there is any metal. i guess im worried about the charcoal part. is it the "natural" color of the material or is it some type of dye that could leach into the tank?

i would try to find some plastic screen that the babies wont fit through and just wrap it around the top of the over flow, to keep them in the whole tank.

i thought about that but i will also be putting the parents in so they can breed in peace! i figured for the next 2 months or less the divider would keep the parents on the overflow side and the babies on the side the input comes in.

its most likely just the coloring of the plastic within the screening. I doubt it would leach anything into the tank. The way I see it.... and just my opinion ... its like maxijets coming in that charcoal grey color. Im sure they couldve made it any color it just so happens that they made it grey
thats exactly what i am thinking, i would really like to use this stuff for now so im hoping thats the case.
