Disease on my Sun Coral?? ID Photo....


I came home today to see this on my sun coral. Is this some disease?

Mine do that occassionally. Usually after eating more than their share. It seems to be from stretching out more than they are use to. Normal. Relax and enjoy!

kinda in the center of the picture there is a group of yellow something. wasnt there yesterday or the day before.

That is what I thought you were trying to find out about. The yellow is just from over eating or opening. It's all good!

Never any ill effects from it.

Ahh cool, i just wasnt sure on that and it freaked me out, well i have seen 3-4 pods open now about a half hour after the cyclopese i put in the tank. if the come out more then i will do a full target feed.

He looks super healthy to me. not open of course...but that thick flesh in between the polyps is a good thing

i'm glad i found this thread... i did a google for "sun coral disease" because I just recently acquired one of these neat guys and was having the exact same issue. Glad to hear I'm doin' okay!!

Cool, Mine is doing great. He doesnt come out to much, and Im feeding about every other day now. seems to be doing well.
