Generally brine shrimp is regarded as "popcorn" for your critters. Its filling but has almost no nutritional value.
Use good flake food(I'll prolly get slaughtered for that one) and mix in blender mush occasionally. Keep in mind that with the blender mush or any type of "real" (non processed) foodstuffs you are introducing a good deal more waste into your tank and you'll have to be extra conscious of tank maintenance.
