Did something Hatch?

Saw this in the tank today. Originally was closed, really thought it was a white sponge. Now it looks like something broke out of it. What do you think? Can't find any new critter in the tank-but that means nothing at the moment(could be hiding in rocks)

that is the cocoon of the sea fairy, careful... they eat live rock by the ton... ok, sorry but i have nothing. it is kind of hard to see the shell in the picture.

It kinda looks like a catapiller cocoon, except white. Any ideas, good or bad?
