Diatoms

Hey guys diatoms are getting have gotten out of control, in my tank, my parameters are fine, and i dont feed much, VERY low bio load ( 1 tang a chromi and a pulsing xenia frag). A few things i think it might be, is my skimmer is not working right because of my sump, which is 1 chambered and doesnt have an ato ( im building a 3 chamber sump soon) or my canister filter, does it need to be cleaned? i havent cleaned it in a while.

diatoms need silicates

RO water? if so check with a TDS, a memebrane might be bad.
