determined, patient, or crazy? (re. hermit)

Just for fun, since they've made it through a month like this, thought I'd honor their endurance with a post. Can't decide if the hermit's still waiting for the coral to kick the bucket, or resigned itself to having a "roommate". Kind of surprised either of them survived this long...

First is 1 month ago, the other is earlier today (guess the kenya does look a bit worse for the wear):

Haha. That's pretty cool. It's likely that both the hermit and the coral are not entirely pleased with the situation but at least they are putting up with each other well. I'd keep them like that. My guess is that if you put a slightly larger shell in the the hermit will bail to the other shell and resign it's old home to the coral. Cool pics though.

are you the person that has one? someone awhile back showed pics of their ~ 3" shelled one, climbing the corner of the tank. Not sure what we'll do when this guy gets that size. Maybe it'll be ok; so far, he's the biggest hermit, but avoids fighting.

Yeah, not much we can do about it, but can be entertaining. There are plenty of big(ger) empty shells, but it just had to have this one. It tried this one out a couple times before it committed, and we threw in a few more but it ignored them. Think it molted a couple times before it got big enuf to drag the tree around
