Dendro Spawn?
I have two rather unassuming Dendrophyllia polyps that have been doing VERY well in my tank. About 1.5 weeks ago, one of them seemed to be expelling something with its mouth wide open. I assumed it was waste. It was during a time of the day that I am not frequently watching.
Tonight I am looking at what appears to be a very small Dendrophyllia that is attached to a piece of shell on my substrate. I am planning to go elbows in to get it and attach the shell to something more substantial. Once I do that I will try to get a picture, but it is very small.
What are the chances of this? Dendro's are so infrequently written about, so this would be really cool if it is. The coloring doesn't appear to be like anything else in the tank, but I suppose it could be something else as well.
Pictures later.
