Dead Heading

The torch I bought last week has a few dead heads on it. I'd like to break them off. Can this be done safely & how?

Oh shoot Allyson, I was already packing my lava lamp and humming, "Riding that train".

Sure you can, just break, cut, saw them off.

Sorry Jerel...after I posted I thought shoot this one's going to get a lot of views. Especially those who have seen my avatar.

Thanks for the response, so I guess it's okay to have it out of the water for a few minutes while I hack away...as corals are exposed to air during low tides, but wasn't sure of the water depth torches are native to.

I usually take a pair of wire cutters and snip away under water.

Allyson,
No problem on the coral. I have used diagonal wire cutters with success, too.

I saw a 13-14 year old with a Dead shirt on the other day. I thought, man he wasn't even alive when Mr. Garcia was. He probably doesn't know what a head is either.

Jerel,
Metamucil mainlined?? Scary thought
My favorite billboard of all time I saw in St. Pete 15-16 years ago said "If you remember the 70's......You weren't there!"

I was still a preteen in the 70's but the 80's are a definite blur. I found a box of posters & concert shirts (lava lamp included - now on my dresser) and took a trip down memory lane. Man have things changed....although I'm determined that my kids will be exposed to the great music of the 60's - 70's....still have an old LP player in the closet.

Was that the yes concert at the Hollywood sportatorium or the Miami Jia a-lai Fronton? Pink Floyd was still the best concert to attend.
