Depending on the age and size of the tank and the size of the fish you don't have to take it out if you can't find it. Your clean up crew should take care of the recently deceased. Just watch for any ammonia spike over the next week and do some small water changes if needed.

when did you lose him? how long since you seen him? i thought the same think as you. thought i lost my lawnmower blenny 2 days ago. i have 90lbs of LR and didnt see him for 2 days. thought for sure he crawled in a hole and died. well last night, on way to work , there he was, pecking at the algae on the glass. i was happy to see him. now this morning, since i got home from work i have not seen him. so just maybe??? yours is just hiding out. lets hope for the best.

I have to agree, lawnmower blenny's can be very elusive. He usually can be seen stuffing his face, but for days a time he dissappears. without a trace.

Do you have any anemones in the tank?

If you have a sump or refuge may also want to check there just in case he took a ride down the pipes.
