That's very sad Loren. I had two damsels in my Nano that I used to cycle, and I returned them to the LFS today. I swear I almost kept the little guys, they really grew on me after the 2+ weeks they were in there. It almost broke my heart to hand them over and know somone will probably eventually kill them during a cycle. I knew I had to do it to make room for my future fish though, to which I will become VERY attached I'm sure. Good luck to your damsels, I miss mine already, and hope yours can pull through it.

Hi Loren. It may not be too late for your fish. Have you determined what the problem is? If the tank is still cycling and there's ammonia present then a large water change may save your fish. Either way it would be good to know what killed them so you can prevent it in the future.

What Rick said... please post your water parameters, and perhaps we can help if it's not too late. Even if it is too late, we can do some "detective" work to figure out what happened and prevent it from happening again.

Just an FYI -
While Damsels will usual survive the cycling process, keep in mind that they are not required to cycle your tank. Uncured live rock, a piece of shrimp, etc. will get you through.
