cycle time

i have a 5.5 with some macro algae and about 3 pounds of LR its been set up for about a week but my problem is my shrimp who i am expecting to hatch her eggs some time this week, that tank is for the hatchlings so any guess on how long it will take to cycle and is there any thing i can cook up real fast for the hatchlings to keep them in

I would put them in a bare tank and use a airstone for movement and daily waterchanges, along with Amquel or some thing like it, that will reduce ammonia, I use it in fry systems all the time, no filters , and one other thing to help with water quality is green water, You can have a safe green water with DT's . just add until you have a very light color or tint of green, Go to the Breeding forum in the subforum or even the seahorse forum.
