Cycle

Hey Guys!


First off an update....the tank is setup and has been running for just over a week. I did my first water tests on it the other day and I was reading ammonia and zero nitrate in the water. I also had a bring along crab from the live rock that is no longer with us. :-( The PH level is at 7.8

So today I did a 5 gallon water change. My salinity level is at 1.023

How long will it take to cycle? Should I just keep waiting and not worry? PLEASE HELP!

Do you have any live rock or live sand in this tank? Tell us a little about it. Size? Did you use ro water for the initial fill?

I have a 55g with live sand and 10lbs of live rock for now. I used tap because of budget problems.
