Cutting the Pipes on a Deltec MCE600?

I'd like to cut the clear pipes on my MCE600 skimmer.

I was thinking about using a hacksaw and cutting it slowly and gently.

Has anyone else cut the pipes?

If so what method did you use to cut them?

Thank you

If they are acrylic then you can cut them with a hacksaw. Why are you wanting to cut it though?

Because they stick so far into the tank.

(look at the Horizontal pipes)

I'm mostly concerned with cutting the intake (thinner) pipe

Use a hacksaw and take your time. It is plastic tubing.

Might be a good thing though. The shaking and vibration from the saw could potentially crack the plastic pieces.
