Question

current pc light question...

yo dudes. I just looked under my 36" power compact current USA actinic/10k light, and I noticed that the blue bulb (actinic) only one of the sections seems bright, and the other is kinda just glowing. I mean there are only 2 bulbs, but you know how there are 2 sections on each bulb? One of them is really bright blue and the other is kinda faded.,i dont know if it is working or what? Is this broken?

I've personally never seen just one side to a bulb on a pc go out, but I guess it could happen. So you have two bulbs, one 10,000K and one actinic, eh? The 10,000k is working fine, but the actinic only has one side burning brightly? Or two 50/50 bulbs? My question is just to verify that you have something to compare the actinic to, since it is not nearly as bright as other bulbs. You might try reconnecting it, since with four pins, if the connector didn't make contact all the way across, it might just be dim on one side. Otherwise, chunk it, as most stores don't gurantee their bulbs.

The Current dual actinic pc is a 50/50 420nm/460nm bulb. One side is violet in color and the other looks like a normal actinic blue color. It is normal.
