Cultivating Brine Shrimp

Hi, is it possible to cultivate brine shrimp using existing water from my reef tank? I mean I will get some water from the tank and put it in a container where I will cultivate brine shrimps?

That is what I do. I have a 5 gal container that I fill from water changes. I never mix saltwater for BBS. I use the water from the 5 gal container to fill the 2 litre hatchers. Just that easy.

Yup, it makes them last a bit longer. I use a 5 gal tank with an airstone to grow out the bbs that I didn't use for my seahorse fry and dwarf seahorses. I don't typically grow out too many though.
