cucumber, question

I went to the LFS and the guy talked me into getting 4 cucumbers to keep the sanbed cleaned on my tank. At the time I was not aware that this things can whipe out a tank when they die. Should I be really concerned and get them out? One of the three cucumbers is on the same spot I placed him 2 days ago, I am unable to reach him without moving my rock. Does he need to be pulled out in case he is diying?

i have kept cukes for many years. they are wildly overrated in terms of their killing abilities. if they just die on their own you do not have anything to worry about. it is when they die violently that they release their guts and toxins. so as long as it does not get sucked into a PH or anything along those lines you are fine.
