well, i'm keeping my fingers crossed. true to what i've heard and read, the dreaded flatworms have just disappeared (knock on wood, too)!!! i don't know what spurred on their demise, but i could not find a single one yesterday when i spent about a half an hour looking for them. it might be related to the bonehead incident when i forgot to plug the heater back in and the tank temp dropped to 72 F, but i'm not sure. another thing is that i've FINALLY gotten my skimmers to skim reliably and man are they churning out some effluent! anyway...just thought i would share
