ive been around and around, even posted it here, but i have a better pic, i really really dont think its mojano. i had two, one looked different. i injected both with joes, one died intantly and the other didnt, this is the other. what else can it be?? the other one moved 2 or 3 times, this one never has no matter how much i poke it, or direct flow at it. well anyway, here is a pic.
and here is one i was told it was a devils hand, but im think its either a thin finger or a blue ridge.. any help??

thanks guys, i new i could count on you!!

It looks like a button polyp now that I can see it better with the new pic. That's a keeper if so. I Hope it has good color.
Hard to be sure though without a perfect pic but since you say it doesnt move.....That's my guess.

Not sure on the specification of the leather, but they all need moderate to high lighting with a good amount of flow (medium).
First few pics are of a majano anemone; might be best to get rid of it now.

Majanos can explode into plague-level amounts in a short period of time. Consider getting rid of it ASAP.

im not trying to doubt the pro's, but please give me ideas of what ELSE the mojano can be, because its really not acting like one, it didnt die when i injected it 3 times, it didnt even bother it. it doesnt move no matter how bad i piss it off, i had another one that looked really similar, and it died and moved all the time. when it closes, it looks like a zoo polyp. im just really thinking its not an anenome... im probably wrong, but given all the tests... what else can it possibly be? a regenerating button? some other type of something?? any crazy ideas that i can reasearch to truly id this thing?

double row of tentacles, slit oral opening with siphonoglymphs that I can see, most likey based on the general morphology to be Anemonea cf. majano, unlikely to be much else based on your picture. This morphology is unlikely to be a button polyp Zoanthid spp.
The leather looks sweet, but the morphology for these is so variable based on current and lighting that it could me any of the octcorals of the leather type. The only true ID will be from microscopic ID of the spicules.
Don't sweat the details on this, just keep your water quality good, lighting moderate, current moderate, and enjoy the specimen.

try chipping it off of the rock using a screwdriver or chisel. obviously one that you do not care about since the SW will most likely rust it and make it useless for anything else.

Take a tablespoonful of Mrs. Wages or Ball pickling lime and add just enough water to make into into a paste the consistency of peanut butter, then lather it over the spot where the pest is located with a plastic spoon and leave the paste there. This will remove the issue. You may see a transient rise in pH while the paste dissolves, although I do see some form of gratification when using a hammer and chisel on the varmits...

Torch it! Remove rock from tank and cut off the marjano. Then use a torch just on the spot where it was attached.
