Could my ORP be this low?

My ORP is reading 150 in my big tank and 160 in my 40 is that possible or is there something wrong with my meter?

if it is new or has been dry it will take time to "acclimate". i hear that 5 days is quite common. try using the calibration solution.

Yeah, its brand new. I don't have any calibration solution. There is no way to calibrate it. It is reading 236 now. It is slowly going up. I expect it to be low but not that low.

I am looking to start out with it at 450 and see how things do with it there. I think recommended for SPS is 450-500 and for softies it is around 350-400.

ORP is reading 280 today.

Does anyone know if that is about right for system that has been cycling for about 3 weeks?

I wish I knew anything about ORP, but maybe this REALLY late bump will help someone who does give us some input. ;-)

Right. I think I am getting a handle on it though. I'm thinking the readings are coming into place and I think it was because of the breaking period of the probe.
