coraline turning white? why


I have a few rocks that the coraline is turning white? what is the deal all the corals are doing great?

I think it turns white when it dies off. I have a few spots on the back of my tank like that.

what type of LR do you have it on?
as already said it is dying off. many types of LR we have come from much water water a lot of times our tanks can not support it

what causes this???its been growing rapidly on the new tunze and the back now some rocks have white???just in the past 2 days?

i had wonderful colors on my Figi rock for a good 6 months before the amount of Ca and temp could not support it any more

I think coraline uses much more calcium than we think. Any comments on this?

Have you changed flow pattern or added flow? Have you changed salt or any habits in the tank? Sometimes it just bleaches. It will more than likely come back and may do so in a bit of a different color. I went from purple to patially green once. Changing to new bulbs will do it also. I seriously doubt its much to worry about. It isnt all that un-common of a thing. Just keep a close eye on your coral and such, that would be more of a worry. Other than that just be patient.
