coraline colors

Does coraline algae change colors, or do I have several different species that are all different colors?

I have heard of 3 different colors. Green, purple, and pink. They do change colors as it dies off and it usally turns white.

I have some small patches that are REALLY florescent pink.

Anyone else have this? Just hoping it's really corraline. Looks just like all the other corraline, only REALLY florescent pink.
