coraline algae question

So, I have some pink spots growing here & there ...... some on the front, some on the back & side walls. I also notice some yellow-green color spots similar to the pink coraline. It's kind of hard to scrape off w/ my finger nail. Will this green eventually turn into the pink coraline? I can take a pic if you need a better description.

Freckles coraline algae grows in several different colors and shades of colors. This is usually controlled by both lighting and water parameters. From my experence if its green that is usually a sign of strong lighting. You will probibly have several colors growing in your tank and the colors will change as the lighting to each area in your tank changes. If your tank is newer and the coraline is just starting to grow I would suggest scraping it of as much as u can. This will help seed the corraline back into the water flow and it will grow faster
