  1. Should i remove the legs fromt his to put it closer to the water, increasing the light
  2. What are the legs for?
  3. If i have a 75 gallon and want to add another 260 of pc lighting, what sps could i keep?
  4. Thank you in advanced!

The legs are so you can mount the light to the tank frame. If you have another way to suspend the lights then you won't need the legs. They are convenient though and the lights are pretty close to the water with them.

In my experience the legs break easily too I've heard numerous people complain about them, and a few have had to obtain more legs to replace broken ones. I concur with Rick if you can find a way to suspend the fixture it's better. The problem with having the lights right on the glass lid (you DO have a glass lid right? Otherwise lights that close to open water are a safety/electrical hazard.) is that they can cause heating problems.
