Coral under attack? pic

Could peppermint shrimp actually eat corals? (I know it sounds weird) but I had this coral for 3 days, and all 3 of my peppermint shrimp been sitting on it 3 nights in a row.

Should I be worried?

I hate to say this. The coral doesn't look super healthy so they may be scavenging dead/dying tissue.

Does the coral expand during the day at all?

I haven't noticed it yet, since I am always away during the day..

How would a healthy coral of that type look like?

Don't feel bad the first open brain I got was 79.00 and looked worse than yours and I almost killed the 2 pictured

you can save yours with a little TLC try putting it in a shady area I used a big leather to shade mine and feed it a couple times a week I use shrimp pellets. try placing them directly on the coral near the mouth and try to keep the fish and shrimp from stealing the food

Great posts Kelli! I agree, putting it in the shade and feeding it is a good way to try and bring it around
