Coral splitting cause bleaching?

A few weeks ago I pulled my frogspawn out of the tank to treat some moho's. I did aggitate the heads so they would close before removing from the tank. Anyway 3 heads began expelling the zooxanthellae within days of doing this. I thought from the stress of being out of the tank. Now I can tell they are splitting. Could they have bleached due to going thru this split? I've never noticed any of the other lps do this. Just curious.

I honestly have no idea since I am stilll learning about coral (that's why I read here every day!), but I can report that my two-headed hammer recently split (the top head split into three) and now the top part is significantly lighter than the head below it.

Well, overall it looks healthy and I am seeing some color come back. I moved it to the bottom of the tank because I noticed in the past if corals are damaged they seem to heal better in less light. I have had other corals split but the skeleton is splitting too, so I imagine it's going thru some serious "labor" at the moment! lol
