Coral spawned
Last night I was watching my tank when I saw my Cynarina coral contract. When it relaxed it released a cloud of pinkish orange eggs into the water.
Just last week one of the carpet anemones at work spawned also.
No matter how long you have been in this hobby there is always something new to see.
Well I'm off to buy cigars.

Very cool Dale. My frogspawn that is in Marc's tank now did that over a year ago and I wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not at the time.

Thanks guys.
Marc.
Unfortunately I did not have time to name them, as they were immediately eaten by my clowns.

oh,the humanity!
Those cannibals, well, maybe now that they have a diet that nature intended, they might spawn next!
would it seem appropriate if we still puff the cigars?
Marc.

I hope your on to something there. I've been waiting 6 years for those percs to spawn and nothing yet.
I'll bring the cigars by tomorrow when Troy and Scott drop by.

Congratulations Dale,
From what I've read all corals in nature spawn at the same time. What is your lighting cycle. Are you simulating summer, winter, different moon phases, etc?

I do not run any special lighting periods on my tank. The on and off cycle never changes during the year. Just got lucky I guess.

That's great, Dale!
You are very fortunate to have seen the blessed event. I suspect that many of us have spawns that go unseen during the night. After all, the wake up to go to the hospital always seems to come in the after midnight hours!!!
